Goodbye February - Looking Forward to Spring

So long, farewell... not so sad to see you go! February can be a challenge - all the flowers are gone, the autumn leaves have disappeared, blue skies have turned gray; nothing left to photograph other than the people on the street. Or, pictures of people on the street.

It can be a bit of a downer.

However, we must press on and look for the extraordinary in an otherwise ordinary world.

Happiness is a window filled with a view.

I see the world through a camera lens. The view on the street is often the most interesting.

Who needs rose colored glasses to have a rosy day? Not her.

The art of looking good while eating food on the street.

Sundays were made for friends.

A blue sky can have a profound effect on people.

The Amadea is making a port call in Yokohama.

Am I seeing things? Is that a genuine '70s tracksuit? Yes, oh yes, please bring back the good old '70s fashions.

I see not everyone is sharing my enthusiasm for the fashions of the 1970s.  Brother we could use a man like Frank Poncherello again.

When one is in need of an attitude adjustment just head on over to the "Can Do" store and get some!

She's ready to take on the world!
She's not.

Then there is the "wait and see" approach to life.

I'm with her - we're with each other - we're damn glad to be together! Happiness is having a good partner in life.

How can one tell if a stranger is lonely?

How can you mend a broken heart?
I can think of younger days
When living for my life
Was everything a man could want to do
--Bee Gees

Crosswalks are a pedestrians best friend.

The mother and daughter bond - if it's good, it's great.

I was walking through Yokohama park (that's where the baseball stadium is) and I noticed these red leaves back lit by the afternoon sun.

The Voigtlander 40mm f1.2 Nokton VM lens helps me see things differently.

Living a life tethered to a smart phone is not the life for me.

If you wear red tonight
Remember what I said tonight
For red is the color that my baby wore
And what is more, it's true
Yes it is
-- Lennon/McCartney

He's got things on his mind.

So does he.

Well, well, well, the sky is blue...

...and, the courting is gonna be swell

Just another day on the waterfront.

The distance between one place and another can be counted in footsteps.
Sometimes counting the distance between here and there means nothing at all.

On a day like today we're all looking forward to Spring.

And, spring is only a little ways away.

She'll think about it.

The messenger girl was in the middle of no man's land when the light changed and she was forced to retreat to the corner where I was standing.

Such is the life of a messenger girl.

Thanks for stopping by!
