Miurakaigan Kawazu Sakura 2014

Yes, it's that time of year for the Kawazu Sakura (early blooming cherry blossoms) along the train tracks just south of Miurakaigan train station to be at their peak. So, Emi and I went to view them yesterday, and we were not the only ones there.

The sidewalks were full of people walking along and enjoying the beauty of the cherry blossoms.

There's the Keikyu train just on the other side of the fence.

The mustard plants give a nice color contrast to the pink blossoms.

Even dogs are enjoying the view.

Got to get the "been there" picture.

Here's an overview of the train tracks.

And, here comes the train!

And, there goes the train!

Gone!

From this angle one can see that the trees make sort of a pink tunnel for the train.

Also near the train tracks is a pond and marsh with a beautiful walking path.

Many people bring their lunch here for a picnic.

This is a very popular spot.

This is the marsh. On the far side of the marsh one can see the cherry trees along the train tracks.

Time to head back to the train station .

My "been there" picture.

Thanks for stopping by!
Mike
